Hi, I'm Jamie Cochran!
Welcome to my page.

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Washington, Seattle with a PhD in Biology from NC State University.

My doctoral research focused on the physiological impacts of multiple stressors (primarily hypoxia and salinity stress) and how aquatic invertebrate species differ in their responses. My current work similarly focuses on aquatic invertebrate physiology, with primary interest in salinity and ammonium balance.
Outside of research, I am passionate about photography, writing, crafting, and reading. I also enjoy spending time with my partner, John, and our cats, Oliver and Piper.
